  1. Great list of simple questions – a good check-up to see if we are in a state of clarity or not. We can think we are clear even as the the mind goes into auto pilot…the check-up provides a moment to readjust in to “fierce clarity.”

  2. I hate that feeling of arriving somewhere in a vehicle and not remembering the trip! And not paying attention in my own life has definitely brought about all sorts of issues over the years from getting out of shape to relationship challenges. I’m not anywhere near perfect now, but I catch myself more often now when I’m in autopilot mode. I try to ask myself these questions regularly: What am I feeling and why? What am I thinking and why? What am I doing and why? Quite the wake up call some days :)

    • Ah perfection! So glad to hear you’re not perfect. None of us are, but kudos to you for being a little more aware when you flip on autopilot. And good questions. When my mind starts racing with insecurity I try to not only ask questions but step back and just observe, as you say, “Why am I thinking this way or acting this way?” It definitely brings about a different kind of awareness.
